ORCA is a Registered Training Organisation (registration number 31105) providing nationally recognised training in the Outdoor Recreation industry. Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s) are recognised as providers of quality assured and nationally recognised training.

Only RTO’s can:

  • Deliver nationally recognised courses and qualifications
  • Apply for Commonwealth and State Government funding.

As a registered ORCA training facility, you can market your accredited courses with the Nationally Recognised Training logo. This means those you train will be confident the skills they attain are of a high quality and will be accepted and valued nationwide.

All use of the Nationally Recognised Training logo must be approved by the ORCA RTO Compliance office prior to publishing

Here at ORCA, we are committed to quality in our programs of Outdoor Recreation and we can offer the best training possible to the public because of partnerships with others who specialize in Scuba, Boating and outdoor pursuits. ORCA courses are registered through the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) giving validity to the program and offering an accredited career path to your students. As a partner with SSI, you have access to support services and Quality Assurance (AQTF) procedures so that you can concentrate on teaching.

 

Benefits to businesses:

  • You can offer nationally recognised training courses, and become registered as an official Vocational Education Training provider with Queensland Department of Employment and Training.
  • Added credibility for your teaching credentials with the ability to display the Nationally Recognised Training logo in advertising.
  • High School students can gain Vocational Education Credits for Scuba, boating, and Snorkelling courses which may apply to Senior Certificates.
  • Students may apply for Austudy where full time courses are conducted -- 26 weeks each for Certificate II, III and IV in Outdoor Recreation.
  • Courses meet rigorous quality assurance standards through Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF)(You get the marketing tool.)
  • All Marine Studies teachers need a Certificate of Competence to teach Snorkelling within schools. Nationally Recognised Training is highly prized among teachers for Professional Development.

  • Nationally recognised outdoor recreation courses. Statement of Attainments for qualifications approved by DEEWR.
  • Student can apply for courses for certificates in Outdoor Recreation, Hospitality, Retail, Tourism, Sport and Recreation

  • Career path opportunities both vocational and academic through TAFE and University systems.
  • Scuba and Outdoor Recreation courses applied to Senior Certificate.

Benefits to teachers:
